Incarnation’s Convent
The construction of the Monastery of the Incarnation dates from XVII century, although it was founded on 1636, and it is a significant sample of the Madrilenian architecture of the time.
The monumental facade is a beautiful neoclassic example with three hollows that take step to an atrium, which allows pass to the church. The right body constitutes the Convent and the left one what was the House-Palace of Count of Colmenar.
The complex occupies a surface of 6,750 m2 and, in addition to the conventual church, it has low choir, capitular room, labouring room, 24 cells, noviciate room, refectory, beautiful cloister, garden and orchard.
Even though its a closure convent, you can visit the church outside of the praying time.
